Odaily reported that an address labeled Bofur Capital was hit by an address poisoning attack after withdrawing funds from Compound. The attacker sent a dust transaction of 0.0002 USDC to create a lookalike address, and the victim copied the wrong one. The stolen funds were then swapped into about 2 million DAI, according to the brief report.

ChainCatcher said PeckShieldAlert monitored an address labeled Bofur Capital that suffered an address poisoning attack after withdrawing from Compound. The attacker sent a 0.0002 USDC dust transaction and forged a lookalike address. When the victim copied and pasted the address, the wrong one was used, and the funds were stolen. The stolen assets were converted into about $2 million in DAI.
